Talk about getting your mobile internet addiction to a whole new level...Google Glass is here!
So the big announcement of late is that Google Glass, the much anticipated "wearable computer" project has been made available to not only developers but to normal folk like you and me. For us mere mortals to partake in the privilege that is Google Glass will cost us a cool grand and a half.
I don't have that kind of cash laying around. I do, however, like living vicariously through others...via YouTube.
+Joshua Topolsky has made a great YouTube video (below) detailing his brief experience with Google Glass. From what I can gather, the technology is minimally invasive and can be easily adapted to be used with other eye wear (prescription or otherwise.) Adapting to this new technology will entail a learning curve; in the video you can see how Joshua at times struggles with what to do next with Glass; one can only assume by the end of the video he acclimates to it. Check out the video in its entirety and start saving your pennies for Google Glass.
One of the developers said towards the end of the video they are taking "baby steps" at the moment with this project.
Indeed. Baby Steps...but man, oh man, what a baby this is going to grow up to be!
This is NOT gonna be good for my mobile internet addiction, I tell you what.
